The Legislative Branch
The Legislative Branch is comprised of the Student Senate and its leadership. Senators serve as the activators for campus initiatives by advocating for their constituents' concerns and interests. Senators serve on one of five committees: Academic Affairs, Appropriations, Diversity, Equity, and Student Belonging (DESB), Student Activities, and University life.
In total, the Student Senate has 20 senators. Through outreach to the student body and by working with other branches within SGA, the Student Senate brings to life the campus changes that students want to see. The Student Senate meets weekly during the academic year on Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the Reilly Room. All Butler students are encouraged to attend these meetings.
