New Locations Added to the SGA Uber Program
We are incredibly pleased with the high utilization rate of the Student Government Association's Transportation Program with Uber offering free or discounted rides to area resources and services. In response to student feedback, we have made some modifications to our offerings. These updates are outlined below.
The program now provides free 24/7 access to the Ascension St. Vincent Medical Campus on West 86th Street. This change will provide students with greater accessibility to the mental health services provided by the Ascension St. Vincent Stress Center as well as access to urgent care, physical therapy, and many more services.
Additionally, the program now includes two free trips per month to the CVS Pharmacy on West 56th Street. The addition of this resource is part of the Student Government Association’s continuing efforts to promote campus wellness and expand access to wellness resources. This program is available Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, and Saturday-Sunday from 10:00am-6:00pm.
To better serve members of the Butler community who take classes as part of the Consortium for Urban Education, Engineering Dual Degree Program, or ROTC programs, SGA is now providing $5.00 off per ride to the IUPUI Campus Center (420 University Blvd). This program is available Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 9:30pm.
All SGA Uber rides must utilize the UberX ride option.
Please remember, the Student Government Association’s Transportation Program is a service to the student body. Misuse of this program for unapproved rides/locations is strictly prohibited. Instances of misuse will be investigated. The Student Government Association reserves the right to charge students for rides deemed as misuse and revoke access to the Uber program.
